Board of Directors

The board of directors is responsible for meeting on the first Monday of each month. During Board meetings, the board of directors decides on the overall direction and goals of the organization, votes on financial expenditures, plans events, and ensures the success of the organization.

Committee Chairs

The Chair and Co-chair of each UHBAA is directly responsible for the success of their committee and ensuring that they are aligned with the mission, vision, and goals of the organization. Each UHBAA committee is responsible for a certain function of the organization. Committee members are (i.e  Scholarship committee ensures marketing of scholarships as well as overseeing the selection process of recipients)

Join a Committee

The committee members assist the Chair and Co-chair of each committee to achieve success in their events, programs, and initiatives. Each committee must meet at least once per quarter. Committee involvement gives members the opportunity to utilize their unique talents and resources to contribute to the success of UHBAA.



Corporate Sponsorships / “In Kind” Donations

The University of Houston Black Alumni association is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that depends upon the resources of our alumni, friends, and corporate sponsors to be a successful and financially sound organization.  “In Kind” Donations can be monetary, free or discounted services, items for our silent auction, sponsoring students for activities, etc. There are so many ways to give.
